Common use Timoptic is an ophthalmic solution used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It contains Timolol, a non-selective beta-adrenergic blocker, which works by decreasing the production of aqueous humor in the eye.
